Berkshire Blanket & Home Co (SUMEC BK), affiliated to SUMEC Textile and Light Industry Co (SUMEC Textile) under the SUMEC Group Corporation (SUMEC), a subsidiary of Sinomach, recently received a certificate from Walmart for its achievement of Giga-Guru Status in Project Gigaton 2019.

Walmart, topping the Fortune Global 500 companies in 2020, initiated Project Gigaton in 2017 to eliminate one billion metric tons (a gigaton) of greenhouse gases from the global value chain by 2030. The Giga-Guru certificate marks the progress made by the program’s participants in building a green supply chain and promoting sustainable development.

The certificate shows Walmart’s recognition of SUMEC BK’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and also paves the way for further cooperation between them.
